There are many different definitions of a "brand", but the most effective description is that a brand is a name or symbol that is commonly known to identify a blog or its writer and separate them from all the other bloggers out there. Of course, good writing is what will draw them back, but first impressions make a big impact.

The overall ‘branding’ of a blog or website can also stretch to a logo, symbol, or even design features (E.g.: Regularly used colours or layouts, such as red and white for Coca Cola.) that identify the blogger or his/her blog.
